Getting facts...

You will be receiving or already are bunches of campaign literature in your mail and email.

There will be stretching of the truth, misinformation, disinformation, and LIES.

So, how do you educate yourself.    Let's start with money.  Who is funding the candidate?

CHANGES IN THE CAMPAIGN REPORTING SCHEDULE

FOR LOCAL ELECTIONS?

An interesting fact for this election season for the local races is how the candidates reports their campaign finances. Traditionally, they needed to be file monthly, HOWEVER, someone changed the rules and now it is every two months. (9/6/2024 is the next report)

We at Fact Check Winter Springs,  will make available records of each candidates financials which include, donors and amounts, expenditures and amounts. Donors are of interest to many voter to show exactly who their financial backers are.

In the past, some Winter Springs candidates where heavily backed by realtors, and developers. Even further back, by vendors/service providers to the City. The Commission has put a stop to taking donations from companies that have contracts with the City.

Providing the following screenshot from the voteseminole.gov website. Across the top look for candidates and click. A dropdown menu will appear, and choose candidates financial reports. There is another dropdown menu, which you will search Winter Springs 2024 then there is a little go button.

Once you see the screen that matches the image, just roll your mouse over the names and they will light up then click. Researching candidates donations will make you a more informed voter.
